The Word of the Day in Irish
Word: rabhadh (ROW-uh, OW as in “cow”)
Meaning: rabhadh = warning
Usage:

History: Old Irish “robud” comes from Common Celtic *ro-budo- (compare Welsh “rhybudd”),
from Indo-European *pro-, an extended form of *per- (before, forward, etc.) plus the root *bheudh- (to be aware, to make aware).
English “forbid” is a perfect formal cognate of “rabhadh” in that “for-” also derives from *per- and “bid” derives from *bheudh-.
Another descendant of the root *bheudh- is “Buddha”, from Sanksrit.
Scottish Gaelic: rabhadh
