As well as Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in the south of Skye, the Consul General visited a variety of places during the three day visit including Dunvegan Castle, Minginish, the Colbost Croft Museum and Portree where she was met and entertained by local traditional musicians. Following the trip she commented:
“I had a constructive and interesting first visit to the College and am looking forward to close working relations with Sabhal Mòr Ostaig during the course of my posting in Scotland. Throughout the visit to Skye; I have been overwhelmed by the beauty of the island, and by the warmth of the people that I met.”
