A VISIT FROM SHONAIG MACPHERSON FROM THE NATIONAL TRUST

Sabhal Mòr Ostaig enjoyed a visit from Shonaig MacPherson last week. Shonaig practiced as a lawyer for more than twenty years and was a senior partner for the law firm, MacGrigors, one of the top law firms in Britain. In 2005 she was appointed chairman for the National Trust for Scotland, and she is the first female to hold this position.
Shonaig met with director, Norman Gillies and also with Mairead MacDonald from Tobar and Dualchais whilst she was here. The Tobar an Dualchais project was of great interest to her especially with regards her own work with the National Trust.
The visit proved very successful for the College and it is hoped that Shonaig will visit again in the future.
