The fourth annual UHI Staff Conference will be hosted at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, the Gaelic College on the Isle of Skye, later this month. The conference which runs from the 23rd - 25th January will focus on Teaching and Supported Learning, bringing together all 15 of the UHI academic partners and associated institutions to discuss differing approaches to teaching and learning in the Higher Education sector.
Over 80 delegates from throughout the Highlands and Islands are expected to attend the conference and will participate in various workshops covering a range of educational issues including web-based delivery of courses, teaching informed by research, the development of learning units and equal opportunities within education. Keynote speakers at the conference will be Dr Paul M. Clark, Chief Executive for the Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and Mr Kirk Ramsay, Director of Learning Technologies at the Scottish University for Industry.
