Fios: afaik, alarc'h first appears in Breton in Le Pelletier's dictionary (composed 1716, published 1752). As that dictionary contains a number of other borrowings from Welsh, it is doubtful whether alarc'h is a genuine Breton word - no trace of it anywhere else before Le Pelletier. --SH
