Note
|
William, the youngest of Domhnall Cam's sons was a tacksman in Islivig. He was known as an excellent swordsman and was able to fight with a sword in each hand. According to tradition, at the battle of Auldearn William, with his back against a wooden paling in a gateway, defended himself against his enemies with a sword in each hand but was finally overcome and killed when they climbed onto a loft above him. |
